Project Engineer (Regulatory Transformation)

Location: Hybrid role based in Porto, Portugal, or Madrid or Ribarroja (Valencia), Spain; frequent travel to hirify.global locations in Europe is required.

What you will do

• Lead complex regulatory-driven technology and business transformation programs, ensuring milestones and compliance requirements are delivered.
• Assess regulatory changes and coordinate with Compliance, Risk, Legal, and Regulatory stakeholders.
• Lead cross-functional teams and align business, technology, vendors, and executive stakeholders.
• Drive large-scale transformation using Agile and SAFe methodologies, including planning, prioritization, and dependency management.
• Use AI and automation to improve program delivery, compliance, risk monitoring, reporting, and operational efficiency.
• Oversee governance, risk management, executive reporting, KPIs, budgets, vendors, milestones, and benefits.

Requirements

• University-level education in business administration, business engineering, engineering, information technology, business analytics, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience leading complex programs, with solid knowledge of project management methodologies, the SAFe framework, and the clearance domain.
• Strong interpersonal, negotiation, stakeholder alignment, resilience, adaptability, and results-oriented skills.
• Ability to lead internal cross-functional teams and combine collaboration with accountability.
• Willingness to travel frequently, approximately 30%, to hirify.global locations in Europe.
• The role is temporary for 24 months and follows a hybrid working policy.

Nice to have

• PMP or PRINCE2 certification, or willingness to obtain one.
• Previous exposure to customs clearance.
