Senior Office Administrator (Office Operations/Project Management): Managing office operations and administrative support for the Department of War CIO in an accent on executive coordination, task management, records administration, and operational compliance. Location: Full-time onsite at the Pentagon in Arlington, VA; hybrid and remote schedules are not supported

Salary: $119,000–$172,000 USD per year

What you will do

  • Manage executive calendars, priorities, task flow, agendas, meeting logistics, notes, and action items.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders as a liaison for leadership and resolve operational issues.
  • Develop and improve project management processes, task management tools, reporting mechanisms, and organizational workflows.
  • Support administrative systems, travel, records management, documentation, deliverables, onboarding, offboarding, equipment, access, and SCIF operations.
  • Prepare correspondence, reports, presentations, routine activity briefings, and Staff Action Packages.
  • Track task and package status in CATMS, Microsoft Planner, and related systems while proactively resolving administrative and logistical bottlenecks.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI security clearance required.
  • At least 14 years of professional administrative support experience and a high school diploma; a relevant bachelor's degree may substitute for four years of experience.
  • At least two years of administrative support experience for the Department of War.
  • Experience with Department of War systems and processes, including the Defense Travel System and task management tools.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, time management, executive communication, and prioritization skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, shared document workspaces, and scheduling software.

Nice to have

  • Experience supporting Office of the Secretary of War clients.
