Sr. Manager - Network Engineering

Location: Mostly on-site, with four days in the office in Chicago, Kansas City, New York, or Overland Park, United States.

Salary: $144,500–$187,000 in Kansas, $158,950–$205,700 in Chicago, and $180,625–$233,750 in New York, plus potential annual incentive compensation and equity participation.

What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing network engineering team across a global, multi-region environment.
• Own the architecture and long-term evolution of low-latency trading networks, including topology, routing, performance, and scalability.
• Drive network initiatives from research and design validation through vendor evaluation, implementation, and production deployment.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, security, cloud, application, and network operations teams on reliable and secure connectivity.
• Establish change management, validation, incident response, post-implementation review, and engineering documentation practices.
• Serve as a senior escalation point, support budgeting and capacity planning, and guide network automation strategy.

Requirements

• 10+ years of progressive network engineering experience in low-latency or mission-critical environments.
• At least 3 years of leadership or management experience.
• Deep expertise in low-latency network design, switching behavior, buffering, and deterministic performance.
• Advanced knowledge of BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VXLAN, PIM-SM multicast, and resilient traffic engineering.
• Experience with Python and API-driven network automation, network security, and highly available infrastructure.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Cisco CCIE in Routing & Switching or Data Center, or equivalent expert-level experience.
• Arista, Juniper, or other advanced networking certifications.
