Technical Service and Development Engineer (Kalrez Specialty Parts)

What you will do

• Provide technical service and development support, including customer training, troubleshooting, problem solving, application development, and qualification testing.
• Identify unmet sealing needs, define customer requirements, and own development projects from concept through implementation and commercialization.
• Build relationships with engineers and end users at strategic accounts across semiconductor and industrial markets.
• Develop, launch, and support new material and application technologies through the global technology network.
• Evaluate competitive products, generate laboratory data, and communicate technical value propositions to sales and customers.
• Deliver technical presentations, seminars, distributor training, and industry conference participation while supporting customers across ASEAN.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in applied chemistry, materials science, chemical engineering, or a related scientific field; Master’s candidates are encouraged to apply.
• At least 5 years of experience as a technical engineer, including direct work with external customers.
• Strong problem-solving skills and experience using analytical procedures to identify and characterize product development barriers.
• Ability to define customer needs and drive new product or application development, work independently, and collaborate across teams.
• Excellent English communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to travel in Singapore and other ASEAN countries at least 50% of the time.

Nice to have

• Technical engineering experience in semiconductor fabs, especially 3D NAND.
• Experience in customer-facing technical roles and leading cross-functional projects.
• Experience developing and launching new products, patents, publications, or novel product claims.
• Chinese language skills.
