Engineer Failure Analysis (Semiconductors)

What you will do

• Study products and layouts, convert layouts into basic schematics, and relate circuit functions to failure signatures.
• Generate failure analysis reports, highlight key issues, and characterize failures during testing.
• Guide test engineering in setting up validation programs and develop characterization plans.
• Analyze fail-die data with Excel and JMP, review inline and process feedback, and propose debugging approaches.
• Set up and validate static and dynamic electrical failure analysis, including interpretation of signal images.
• Perform trace analysis to identify regions of interest for physical failure analysis or nanoprobing and collaborate with designers on failure mechanisms.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with electrical engineering knowledge.
• Knowledge of semiconductor fundamentals, circuit design, fabrication processes, and device physics.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, take ownership, and overcome project roadblocks proactively.

Nice to have

• Programming knowledge in Perl, VBA, or C.
