Production Engineer (Automotive)

Location: Buffalo, West Virginia, United States; onsite production engineering role

What you will do

• Manage model-change capital projects and coordinate internal and external groups to meet project KPIs.
• Support powertrain projects, including change-point management, new equipment installation, model changes, equipment refurbishment, tooling technologies, and kaizens.
• Use hirify.global Business Practice to troubleshoot process issues, identify root causes, and implement effective countermeasures.
• Work with Production, Quality, Safety, Maintenance, Facilities, North America Production Engineering, and outside vendors to maintain quality, takt time, and operational targets.
• Plan and implement production, precision measurement, and testing equipment for new projects.
• Analyze daily production and part-quality problems and implement corrective actions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a similar major.
• Project management experience, including prioritization, milestone management, and status reporting.
• Knowledge of machine safety circuits, including verification and validation on local North American equipment.
• Strong organizational, communication, computer, data analysis, and reporting skills.
• Ability to learn manufacturing processes, adapt to new situations, and work weekends, holidays, and shutdown periods when supporting projects.
• Must already have the right to work in the United States and must not require employment-based visa or work authorization sponsorship now or in the future.
