Construction Manager (Pharma & Biotech)

Location: Ayrshire, Scotland, United Kingdom; on-site role at a live manufacturing facility

What you will do

• Lead and coordinate on-site construction activities for EPCm projects.
• Manage and develop multidisciplinary construction teams, providing leadership, coaching, and support.
• Oversee subcontractor performance and ensure safe, efficient delivery against project requirements.
• Collaborate with engineering, operations, project management, client stakeholders, and subcontract partners.
• Drive compliance with GMP, CDM, quality, site, and safe working standards.
• Monitor progress, manage interfaces, and maintain effective communication across project stakeholders.

Requirements

• Proven construction management experience in pharmaceutical, life sciences, FMCG, food and beverage, manufacturing, chemical, or another regulated industrial environment.
• Strong understanding of GMP requirements and experience working in regulated facilities.
• Experience managing multidisciplinary construction teams and subcontractors on operational sites.
• People-focused leadership style with experience coaching, mentoring, and developing others.
• Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of CDM 2015, Safe Systems of Work, contractor management, setting-to-work processes, and BS 5975 Temporary Works requirements.
