Annual base salary: $177,000–$260,000

What you will do

• Define and lead the North America Commercial AI strategy, portfolio, roadmap, and investment priorities.
• Design, build, test, and deploy AI-powered workflows, agents, and applications for patient finding, HCP targeting, field insights, next-best-action, and commercial automation.
• Translate commercial problems into technical designs, delivery plans, adoption strategies, and measurable value objectives.
• Develop evaluation frameworks covering accuracy, grounding, hallucination risk, reliability, cost, latency, and business performance.
• Evaluate AI vendors and platform capabilities, including Snowflake Cortex and Salesforce/Agentforce, and provide build-versus-buy recommendations.
• Manage solution lifecycles from deployment and versioning through monitoring, production support, enhancement, and responsible AI governance.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in software, machine learning, applied AI, or AI solution development, including production solutions with measurable business impact.
• At least 2 years of hands-on experience building and deploying production LLM or GenAI applications, including agentic workflows, RAG, grounding, and evaluation.
• Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL, with experience in APIs, integration patterns, containerization, Git-based workflows, and cloud AI/ML services.
• Experience with orchestration, tool or function calling, prompt engineering, model and agent versioning, CI/CD, monitoring, quality controls, and cost management.
• Ability to translate ambiguous business needs into technical solutions and collaborate with Commercial, Data Science, IT, Legal, Compliance, Privacy, and platform teams.
• Fluent English required; role based in Cambridge, United States. A BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience, is required.

Nice to have

• North American commercial pharmaceutical or biotechnology experience, especially with patient finding, HCP targeting, field insights, next-best-action, or commercial workflow automation.
• Experience with healthcare data such as claims, EHR, specialty pharmacy data, IQVIA, Komodo, ICD, CPT, or NDC.
• Experience with LangGraph, LlamaIndex, OpenAI, Anthropic, AWS Bedrock, Azure OpenAI, vector databases, LangSmith, Langfuse, or MLflow.
• Knowledge of HIPAA, PHI/PII handling, promotional review, privacy, compliance, and responsible AI in healthcare.
• Advanced degree or cloud and machine learning certifications.
