AVP, Network Security Engineer (Palo Alto)

Location: Fort Mill/Charlotte, United States; hybrid. Travel of up to 10% may be required.

Base salary: $103,618.00–$172,628.00 per year.

What you will do

• Design, engineer, and operate network security products, including Palo Alto, Cisco FTD, Fortinet, and Radware firewalls and DDoS appliances.
• Develop automation with Python or Perl and APIs for data exchange and orchestration.
• Engineer and operate VPN and Cisco ISE/NAC remote-access environments.
• Implement auto-scaling firewall solutions in AWS and work with native AWS and Azure firewalls.
• Troubleshoot complex network security issues, identify root causes, and improve the security platform.
• Harden devices, manage firewall requests, optimize traffic logging, and maintain security baselines, documentation, and diagrams.

Requirements

• 5+ years of network and security engineering experience, including Radware, Fortinet, Cisco, and Palo Alto security products.
• At least 2 years of experience with DDoS, proxy, VPN, firewall orchestration, and/or network access control technologies.
• At least 2 years of experience with network security hardening, controls, monitoring, logging, and on-premises and cloud network defense.
• Hands-on experience with Radware DefensePro, Cisco ISE, network security best practices, and security management platforms.
• Valid U.S. work authorization is required; employer sponsorship is not available now or in the future.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• CCNA, CCNP, or CISSP certification.
• Experience with scripting, automation tools, and Agile.
