Cyber Security Engineer (Palo Alto Networks)

Location: Milwaukee, WI Corporate; hybrid schedule with telecommuting permitted 2 days per week

Salary: $86,030–$159,770 per year

What you will do

• Administer, configure, and maintain Palo Alto Networks next-generation firewalls, including security policies, NAT, URL filtering, content filtering, and threat prevention services.
• Design, implement, and support Site-to-Site VPNs, Client VPNs, encryption and decryption technologies, and secure connectivity solutions.
• Manage and troubleshoot Zscaler Secure Web Gateway services, enforcing internet access controls and enterprise security policies.
• Provide Tier 3 cybersecurity and network support for connectivity, security, and internet access issues affecting more than 10,000 users across 353+ locations.
• Support highly available data center and hybrid cloud environments hosted in AWS and Microsoft Azure, ensuring redundancy, segmentation, and secure interconnectivity.
• Manage security incidents, service requests, changes, and problem records in ServiceNow; collaborate with vendors and technical teams to resolve advanced production incidents.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience as a Cyber Security Engineer or in a related role.
• At least 2 years of experience with firewalls, proxies, Active Directory, DNS, IP, NAT, VLANs, and subnetting.
• At least 2 years of experience with Python, JavaScript, Java, and AWS or Microsoft Azure.
• At least 2 years of experience working within an Agile/DevOps operating model.
• Ability to communicate technical risks, vulnerabilities, remediation strategies, and security metrics to stakeholders at different technical levels.

Nice to have

• Experience researching security assessment and exploit methodologies.
• Experience developing security tools, attack techniques, automation scripts, or informal technical reports.
