Senior Network Security Engineer (Cybersecurity)

Location: Spring, Texas, United States of America

Salary: $116,150–$182,400 USD annually, with additional bonus and/or equity opportunities for candidates in the United States.

What you will do

• Design, implement, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain enterprise security solutions, including DLP, SSL inspection, SSE, WAF, firewalls, proxies, and remote access.
• Lead the development, deployment, documentation, and continuous improvement of advanced security architectures and policies.
• Monitor DLP alerts, investigate security incidents with cybersecurity teams, analyze trends, and recommend data protection improvements.
• Collaborate with IT architecture, support, cybersecurity, compliance, managed service providers, and vendors to integrate and optimize security platforms.
• Evaluate technologies and vendors, participate in proof-of-concept projects, assess implementation risks, and support long-term architecture and financial planning.
• Serve as a security subject-matter expert and escalation point, mentor peers, train cross-functional teams, and maintain technical documentation.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of industry experience, including 3–5 years at an expert level.
• At least 5 years of experience working in enterprise networking environments.
• Experience with Palo Alto and Fortinet firewalls, Zscaler zero trust and proxy solutions, Microsoft, Palo Alto and Zscaler remote access, IPS/IDS, Cloudflare, Akamai CDN and WAF technologies.
• Knowledge of zero trust, cyber threat protection, DLP, cloud and on-premises proxies, SSE, WAF, LAN/WAN, MPLS, SD-WAN, SASE, DNS security, voice and data networks, and virtualized networking.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Strong communication, analytical, project management, documentation, collaboration, and leadership skills.

Nice to have

• Certifications or advanced training in Zscaler products, Microsoft E3, and other relevant cybersecurity tools.
• Experience with datacenter technologies and enterprise routing.
