Legal & Compliance Intern (Fintech)

Location: New York City, United States (hybrid); availability to work from the New York City office at least 3–4 days per week throughout the program.

Compensation: $30 per hour.

What you will do

• Support contract drafting and review alongside the Legal & Compliance team.
• Conduct regulatory research related to financial services, data privacy, artificial intelligence, and marketing compliance.
• Help develop and update policies, including privacy notices and AI governance frameworks.
• Assist with data privacy, AI and machine-learning governance, and marketing and advertising compliance reviews.
• Collaborate with Product, Risk, Privacy, Marketing, and Business partners on active cross-functional initiatives.

Requirements

• Current law student with an interest in financial services, regulatory, data privacy, AI, emerging-technology, or marketing and advertising law.
• Relevant coursework, clinic, or project experience in applicable legal or regulatory areas.
• At least one previous internship or clerkship, or substantial academic or personal project experience.
• Available for the full-time, 8-week program from June 21 to August 13, 2027.
• Must be able to work in the New York City office at least 3–4 days per week.

Nice to have

• Experience translating fast-moving legal and regulatory developments into practical guidance.
• Interest in AI governance, privacy assessments, or advertising compliance, including CCPA/CPRA, TCPA, CAN-SPAM, and UDAAP.
