Engineering Manager - Developer Productivity (AI)

Location: Remote within the United States

Salary: $220,000–$270,000 per year

What you will do

• Lead a team focused on developer productivity, engineering workflows, and developer experience.
• Oversee CI/CD pipelines, build systems, developer infrastructure, internal tools, and AI-powered tooling.
• Drive adoption of AI coding tools and design AI-augmented development workflows.
• Define productivity, satisfaction, AI adoption, and workflow effectiveness metrics.
• Partner with engineering, product, and design teams to align priorities and communicate AI capabilities and limitations.
• Establish AI governance practices covering security, correctness, licensing, data handling, and quality standards.

Requirements

• 7+ years of software engineering experience and 3+ years managing engineering teams.
• Strong knowledge of developer tools, CI/CD pipelines, and modern software development practices.
• Hands-on daily experience with AI coding tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, or similar.
• AI-augmented fluency or higher, including experience with prompt engineering, context engineering, and token economics.
• Experience building high-performing teams, developing AI fluency, and orchestrating work across people and AI agents.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and AI governance skills.
