Cyber Security Ops. Professional (Cyber Security)

Location: Onsite in Bristol, Cardiff, Glasgow, Newcastle, London, or Manchester, UK. UK Nationals only; candidates must have lived in the UK for at least 5 years and hold or be eligible to obtain SC clearance.

What you will do

• Monitor security platforms 24x7x365 and participate in an on-call rotation.
• Maintain the availability, integrity, and confidentiality of security platforms.
• Upgrade, patch, remediate, and troubleshoot Linux, Windows, ESXi, and firewall environments.
• Conduct vulnerability scans, recommend remediation, and maintain firewall configurations and policies.
• Build and support custom applications, resilient systems, and customer-specific security solutions.
• Review technical documentation, maintain knowledgebase articles, and collaborate with teams, suppliers, and stakeholders.

Requirements

• UK National status and eligibility for SC Security Clearance are required.
• At least 5 years of residence in the UK is required.
• Linux systems administration, including installation, configuration, management, and maintenance.
• IT, network, and firewall troubleshooting skills.
• Familiarity with ticketing, change management, and operational procedures.
• Ability to learn new technologies independently and support continuous learning and certification.

Nice to have

• Windows administration, PowerShell, Active Directory, DNS, and Windows event logging.
• Fortinet firewalls, Cisco networking, VPNs, IPv4, and IPv6.
• CyberArk PAM, VMware, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
• Monitoring and security tools such as Qualys, CrowdStrike, Wazuh, Splunk, Grafana, or Prometheus.
• Ansible, Terraform, Packer, Git, Python, Perl, Java, Go, or regular expressions.
