NOC Engineer (Cybersecurity)

Location: Belfast, Northern Ireland; rotating shifts providing 24x7 coverage, primarily 06:00–19:00 GMT/BST

What you will do

• Monitor and maintain production infrastructure spanning more than 14,000 servers and 250 network devices across multiple data centres.
• Manage incidents and troubleshoot routine and complex network, hardware, operating system, and customer-facing production issues.
• Coordinate with senior team members to identify broader incident patterns and trends.
• Maintain and improve operational standards, monitoring quality, runbooks, knowledge articles, and procedures.
• Support modernization, continuous service improvement, monitoring refinement, and prescribed AI tooling initiatives.

Requirements

• Strong technical knowledge of Linux operating systems.
• Experience with major incident management, including documenting incidents and actions, facilitating investigations, resolving issues, and communicating updates.
• Basic understanding of core networking principles, including switching and routing.
• Basic understanding of cloud computing principles.
• Proficiency in monitoring internal production systems using monitoring tools.

Nice to have

• CompTIA certifications such as A+, Network+, Cloud+, Linux+, or Security+.
• OS certifications including LPIC, LFCS, RHCSA, MCSA, or MCSE.
• Cloud vendor certifications.
• ITIL v3, v4, or v5 certification.
