M365 Project Manager (Microsoft 365)

Location: Remote-first; candidates local to the D.C. Metro Area, Kansas City, MO, and Chicago, IL. Hybrid work is also indicated. U.S. citizenship is required.

Salary: $120,000–$155,000 per year.

What you will do

• Lead M365 and Power Platform projects from initiation and planning through implementation, transition, and closeout.
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, dependencies, risks, deliverables, and action items.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including M365 engineers, Power Platform developers, SharePoint specialists, architects, analysts, and UX resources.
• Manage Agile or hybrid delivery with Jira or comparable tools, including backlogs, sprint planning, prioritization, status tracking, and release coordination.
• Coordinate M365 configuration, migration, development, integration, governance, modernization, security, accessibility, and compliance activities.
• Act as the primary day-to-day interface with government stakeholders, providing status reporting, facilitating reviews, and resolving issues and competing priorities.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship required.
• Active DHS Public Trust clearance or ability to obtain it.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
• 6+ years of experience supporting technology projects, enterprise platforms, application development, or IT service delivery.
• Experience managing technical projects and multidisciplinary teams using Agile, Scrum, Kanban, hybrid, or similar delivery approaches.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Power Platform, including SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and Dataverse.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting federal government projects, preferably DHS or another large federal agency.
• Experience with M365 migrations, collaboration solutions, workflow automation, application modernization, or Power Platform implementations.
• Familiarity with M365 governance, security, application lifecycle management, federal cybersecurity, records management, accessibility, and compliance requirements.
• Microsoft 365, Power Platform, Azure, Microsoft AI/Copilot, PMP, CAPM, Scrum, or SAFe certifications.
