Commodity Buyer (Supply Chain)

What you will do

• Develop and implement strategic sourcing and commodity management strategies for Transformer and Switchgear projects.
• Manage key supplier relationships through business reviews, supplier visits, contract negotiations, and performance monitoring.
• Lead RFQs, supplier selection, price negotiations, framework agreements, and cost-reduction initiatives.
• Collaborate with engineering, quality, project management, and procurement teams to support project execution and mitigate supply chain risks.
• Oversee purchase order execution, resolve supplier issues, and maintain procurement data accuracy and process compliance in SAP.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Procurement, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Approximately five years of experience in sourcing, procurement, commodity management, supply chain management, or a related discipline.
• Experience in supplier relationship management, strategic sourcing, contract negotiations, and commercial agreement development.
• Proven ability to deliver cost savings, value creation, and supply chain improvements through supplier analysis and sourcing initiatives.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Legal authorization to work in Mexico without current or future employer sponsorship. Fluent English communication skills are required.

• Experience using SAP or other ERP systems for procurement transactions, supplier information, and purchase orders.
