What you will do
- Manage order status, purchase order backlog updates, shipment tracking, delivery reporting, and supplier communications.
- Coordinate with suppliers, warehouse teams, logistics teams, and transportation carriers to ensure timely product delivery.
- Develop supplier relationships, improve processes, and hold suppliers accountable for shipping and delivery commitments.
- Negotiate supplier pricing and provide quotes to support sales opportunities.
- Manage non-conforming inventory, product disposition, inventory aging, stock rotation, and liquidations.
- Communicate order status and problem resolution to planners, sales, and customer operations, while contributing to supplier management initiatives.
Requirements
- Typically 3+ years of relevant work experience with a bachelor's degree or equivalent.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience providing comparable knowledge and job skills.
- Thorough knowledge of the relevant discipline, industry practices, techniques, and standards.
- Ability to evaluate situations, develop solutions, exercise independent judgment, and manage work with limited guidance.
- Ability to collaborate with management and teams across multiple organizational functions.
