Senior Director, DAE, Athletics & Recreation

Salary: $12,418.42–$18,613.67 CAD monthly

What you will do

• Lead the long-term Development and Alumni Engagement strategy for hirify.global Athletics and Recreation.
• Formulate and execute fundraising strategies for a program raising approximately $5 million to $12 million annually.
• Lead a multi-year campaign and personally manage a portfolio of major gift prospects and donors, including gifts from $100,000 to multi-million-dollar commitments.
• Build relationships with donors, alumni, corporate executives, community leaders, senior university administrators, and strategic partners.
• Develop donor communications, recognition, stewardship, proposals, operating budgets, and program processes.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of up to eight management and professional employees.

Requirements

• University degree in a relevant discipline.
• At least 10 years of related experience, including 8 years leading and developing career and professional-level employees, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with major gift fundraising, donor and senior stakeholder relations, and complex gift agreements.
• Advanced interpersonal, negotiation, diplomatic problem-solving, and relationship-building skills.
• Strong understanding of accounting, budgeting, legislation, regulations, and institutional policies relevant to fundraising.
• Commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, and respect for diverse perspectives.

• Major gift fundraising experience in an academic environment.
• Experience managing performance, multiple projects, and competing deadlines.
• Recognized achievements in the fundraising industry and experience implementing high standards in complex institutions.
