Board Product Engineer Intern (Semiconductor Hardware)

What you will do

• Support board-level product engineering for prototype and pre-production hardware builds.
• Track engineering build milestones, action items, risks, and readiness status.
• Collect, organize, and summarize data from board assembly, inspection, manufacturing test, and validation activities.
• Document build issues, failure symptoms, corrective actions, and lessons learned.
• Collaborate with hardware design, operations, test engineering, quality, reliability, and supply chain teams during new product introduction.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Basic understanding of hardware products, printed circuit boards, electronics manufacturing, or product development processes.
• Ability to organize technical information, summarize data, and communicate clearly.
• Basic analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and strong documentation habits.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and follow through on assigned tasks.
• Eligibility to access U.S. export-controlled technology may be required; applicants may be subject to export license review.

Nice to have

• Coursework or project experience in electronics, circuits, embedded systems, manufacturing, or mechanical design.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, basic scripting, lab equipment, or CAD tools.
