VP Bank Compliance Monitoring - GM Financial Bank

Location: Salt Lake City, Utah, United States; hybrid schedule with three days per week in the office

What you will do

• Lead testing and monitoring of internal business processes, controls, consumer service providers, and other vendors.
• Develop compliance monitoring plans, schedules, performance metrics, and reporting.
• Analyze complex regulatory issues and make risk-based decisions supporting compliance objectives.
• Report testing results, management action plans, and vendor remediation items to senior management and relevant departments.
• Partner with the Chief Compliance Officer and business units on strategic goals, budgets, projects, and ongoing monitoring priorities.
• Use technology to improve monitoring efficiency and build a culture of integrity, continuous improvement, and effective communication.

Requirements

• Deep expertise in consumer finance compliance, preferably including automobile finance regulations.
• Strong knowledge of federal and state requirements, FDIC examinations, consumer protection laws, and bank compliance frameworks.
• 7–10 years of experience in financial services and 5–7 years of experience in testing and monitoring.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, quantitative analytics, or a related field; a master’s degree is also listed.
• Experience assessing risk, analyzing complex regulatory issues, communicating with executives and regulators, and managing multiple priorities.
