Staff Full-Stack Software Engineer - Advisor Experience (Fintech)

Location: New York, NY, United States. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer and must not require current or future visa sponsorship.

Base salary: $158,000–$248,000 USD per year, excluding bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Architect, implement, and maintain scalable full-stack solutions across frontend and backend systems.
• Build new advisor-focused capabilities, including the Secure Message Center for compliant communication in the client portal.
• Set technical direction through engineering standards, shared libraries, and full-stack design reviews.
• Mentor and coach junior and mid-level engineers through pairing, code reviews, and technical guidance.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, engineering leadership, and AI specialists to deliver advisor tools.
• Communicate technical direction and solve complex business challenges across projects and time zones.

Requirements

• 8+ years of software engineering experience; Staff-level experience is preferred.
• B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or a similar technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong full-stack proficiency with modern frontend frameworks such as Svelte, React, or Vue and server-side languages such as Java.
• Experience designing and maintaining complex distributed systems and scalable web applications in production.
• Strong knowledge of backend architecture, API design, microservices, and server-side integration patterns.
• U.S. work authorization without current or future visa sponsorship is required.

Nice to have

• Experience building greenfield products and taking products from 0 to 1.
• Professional experience using AI in software engineering.
• Background or interest in wealth management, fintech, or financial advisor workflows.
