Full Stack Software Engineer (AI)

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain high-performance, highly available platforms for risk hedging, trade execution, trade booking, workflow management, and post-trade processing.
• Scale infrastructure to support business growth and new synthetic products through a front-to-back engineering approach.
• Apply agentic AI and automation to technical and business workflows, contribute to the SPG AI toolkit, and promote AI adoption.
• Collect system data and metrics to support decision-making and business intelligence.
• Collaborate with traders, sales, strategists, operations, compliance officers, and engineering teams to gather requirements, design workflows, deliver features, and provide user support.
• Participate in the full product lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, implementation, testing, support, and performance monitoring.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Quantitative Research, or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of professional full-stack software development experience.
• Hands-on experience with Java, agentic AI, skills development, and prompt optimization.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, and systems design.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Ability to work in Hong Kong.

Nice to have

• Financial industry and front-office experience, including knowledge of equity synthetic or derivative products.
• People-management, mentoring, and team-building experience.
• Experience with LLM-based development tools, Spring or Guice, Angular or React, Linux shell scripting, or systems programming.
• Experience building real-time low-latency, event-driven, or event-sourced systems.
• Knowledge of JVM internals and tuning for low-latency, GC-free real-time operation.
