Team Lead for Customer Interfaces (Fintech)

Location: San Francisco, United States; onsite at the San Francisco office

Salary: $198,000–$293,000 annual base salary, plus RSUs

What you will do

• Lead, hire, onboard, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of individual contributor engineers.
• Define the architectural vision and execution strategy for Customer Interfaces.
• Guide development of dynamic and agentic UI components using Vue, Preact, and TypeScript, backed by high-concurrency Java services.
• Partner with Product Managers and cross-functional stakeholders on roadmaps balancing delivery, technical debt, performance, and stability.
• Drive operational rigor across live performance, AI security guardrails, incident response, and post-mortem analysis.
• Coordinate documentation-first collaboration between the San Francisco hub and global teams.

Requirements

• 5+ years of formal engineering management or team leadership experience, including growing individual contributors and managing delivery.
• 10+ years of total software engineering experience, previously working as a Senior or Lead Full-Stack or Backend Engineer.
• Strong full-stack architecture experience with Java backend services and modern frontend JavaScript or TypeScript frameworks.
• Experience or familiarity with production-grade LLM workflows, policy layers, streaming latency optimization, and zero-trust security boundaries.
• Ability to connect technical decisions to product outcomes, set execution horizons of 1–2 quarters, and work autonomously across global time zones.
• Must work onsite from the San Francisco office; remote-only work is not offered.
