Staff SW Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Foster City, California, United States; at least 3 days per week in the office

Salary: $146,200–$233,700 USD per year, with potential bonus and equity eligibility

What you will do

• Architect and deliver complex, large-scale software systems and product components.
• Translate functional requirements into system designs, define component interactions, and lead design reviews.
• Develop and maintain extensible, reusable code while driving coding standards, quality metrics, and best practices.
• Lead code reviews, create complex test plans, identify gaps, and resolve defects.
• Debug software, analyze monitoring data, respond to incidents during on-call rotations, and identify automation opportunities.
• Build and enhance developer tools while partnering with engineering, product, architecture, data science, compliance, and operations teams.

Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant experience with a bachelor's degree, 2+ years with an advanced degree, 0 years with a PhD, or 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience in software engineering or a directly related field.
• Experience developing full-stack web or mobile applications and using AI tools.
• Experience with enterprise-scale web services, container-based technologies, product development, testing, debugging, and code review.
• Leadership experience, cross-functional collaboration, and experience building or enhancing developer tools.
• Ability to work from the Foster City office at least 3 days per week.
