Patient Access Liaison (Healthcare Reimbursement)

Location: US - Idaho - Boise City; field-based role with travel up to 50%, including occasional overnight and weekend commitments.

Annual base salary: $158,394–$185,578 for Level 5 or $164,276–$222,256 for Level 6.

What you will do

• Support patients, caregivers, healthcare providers, physician offices, and infusion centers with insurance benefits, prior authorization, reimbursement, coding, and billing questions.
• Identify and resolve coverage barriers, denied claims, and other access challenges before and after infusion.
• Educate patients and providers about co-pay assistance, foundations, free drug programs, and patient support resources.
• Build relationships through phone, virtual, and in-person engagement and secure required HIPAA authorizations.
• Collaborate with Market Access, Medical Affairs, Advocacy, Case Management, Marketing, and Site of Care teams.
• Document activities accurately, escalate systemic reimbursement issues, and report adverse events and product complaints through established processes.

Requirements

• Level 5: doctorate, or a master’s degree plus 2 years of relevant experience, or a bachelor’s degree plus 4 years, or an associate’s degree plus 8 years, or a high school diploma/GED plus 10 years.
• Level 6: doctorate plus 2 years, master’s degree plus 4 years, or bachelor’s degree plus 6 years of patient services and/or access and reimbursement experience.
• Experience or knowledge in access and reimbursement, prior authorization, appeals, denied claims, healthcare reimbursement systems, and coding and billing.
• Ability to manage complex patient situations, resolve access barriers, respond rapidly to urgent needs, and work effectively in a matrix field environment.
• Knowledge of HIPAA, FDA, OIG, and internal compliance requirements.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, CRM, AI, and relevant systems.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting buy-and-bill or infused pharmaceutical therapies.
• Rare disease, orphan drug, nursing, or allied health experience.
• Experience working in cross-functional field teams.
