Patient Access & Pre-Access Supervisor (Healthcare Revenue Cycle)

Location: Roanoke, Virginia; applicants must reside and be authorized to work within the United States

Starting salary: $47,400 annually; final compensation depends on experience.

What you will do

• Coordinate patient registration and pre-registration activities and ensure daily completion of assigned duties.
• Supervise, schedule, train, coach, and evaluate Patient Access staff while monitoring productivity and attendance.
• Track department performance metrics, including point-of-service collections, wait times, overtime, and productivity.
• Monitor upfront collections, assign goals, and provide coaching or corrective action when needed.
• Conduct audits, support process and procedure development, manage assigned improvement projects, and report progress to Patient Access Leadership.
• Provide on-call administrative and educational support during days, nights, and weekends, including coverage for staffing issues and unexpected volumes.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of relevant job experience.
• CHAM and CRCR certifications are required.
• Knowledge of registration, insurance, scheduling, verification, and hospital billing.
• Ability to lead and direct others, with strong analytical skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Demonstrated advanced use of AI and experience managing teams with AI to support process and technology improvements.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred, along with 2–3 years of supervisory experience in healthcare or business.
