Nondestructive Evaluation (NDE) Technician (Aerospace): Performing field and laboratory inspections of equipment, systems, and flight hardware at Kennedy Space Center with an accent on radiographic testing and multiple Level II NDE methods. Focus on setting up and operating inspection equipment, interpreting results, guiding junior technicians, and maintaining safety and procedural compliance.
Location: Kennedy Space Center, Florida, United States. Onsite, full-time, second shift from 3:00–11:30 PM. No travel required. U.S. citizenship is required, and eligibility for a Secret clearance is required.

What you will do
- Perform field and laboratory nondestructive evaluation inspections of equipment, systems, and flight hardware.
- Set up, standardize, and operate NDE test equipment across multiple inspection methods.
- Interpret inspection results and provide guidance to trainees and Level I and Level II personnel.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on relevant equipment.
- Follow written work instructions and coordinate assignments with NDE engineering or management.
- Complete all work safely in accordance with laboratory practices, local policies, and procedures.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED and completion of related NDE/NDT technical training.
- At least two years of experience performing nondestructive testing.
- Valid Florida driver’s license.
- NDE/NDT Level II certification in Radiographic Testing (RT) in accordance with applicable ANSI practices, SNT-TC-1A, or MIL-STD-410E.
- At least three additional NDE/NDT Level II certifications, such as UT, ET, MT, PT, LT, VT/CCTV/CWI, or IR.
- Ability to pass and maintain a security clearance and meet the U.S. citizenship requirement.

- Ability to work in enclosed areas and at heights up to 500 feet.
- Ability to manage repetitive tasks, pressure, and critical deadlines.
- Computer literacy and the ability to read and follow prescribed procedures.
