PIR Exploitation Analyst (OPIR/IR Sensor Intelligence)

What you will do

• Apply PIR exploitation tradecraft and structured analytic workflows to infrared sensor data and events.
• Assess sensor data quality and performance, and analyze thermal and spectral signatures.
• Develop and refine algorithms for signal processing and automated or semi-automated sensor data exploitation.
• Plan and execute field tests, sensor tasking, ground-truth collection, and post-event data capture.
• Fuse OPIR, GEOINT, MASINT, and other multi-INT data to support missile defense test requirements and technical intelligence assessments.
• Prepare and present technical reports, briefings, and intelligence products for NASIC leadership, mission partners, and national-level customers.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance, or the ability to obtain or transfer it, is required to start.
• Bachelor’s degree in physics, engineering, mathematics, remote sensing, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience or military and DoD training.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in PIR/OPIR exploitation, infrared sensor analysis, or related technical intelligence disciplines.
• Knowledge of infrared signature phenomenology, space-based remote sensing, and OPIR, GEOINT, or MASINT sensor systems.
• Experience developing algorithms or programming for sensor exploitation or signal processing using MATLAB, Python, or similar tools.
• Experience with field test planning, sensor tasking, SIPRNet/JWICS, multi-INT fusion workflows, technical reporting, and senior-level briefings.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting NASIC, MDA, or a related national intelligence or DoD collection organization.
• Experience with MDA test planning, sensor performance characterization, or missile defense collection requirements.
• Advanced degree in a relevant technical or scientific discipline.
• Experience with additional exploitation tools such as IOTS, TMS, GAT, RET, HAAPi, PDP Viewer, COMET, Palette, Black Wolf, MIST, ERDAS IMAGINE, AGITK, WARP, or GETS.
• Infrared, radar, or RF signal-processing experience, or work on NOVASTAR, ATEP II, or a similar contract vehicle.
