Advanced Data Analytics Consultant (Data Science)

Location: Belfast, UK; hybrid working with attendance in the office or on client site at least two days per week, and up to five days per week on a client site depending on the assignment.

What you will do

• Conduct analysis and develop models that support evidence-based, data-centric decision-making.
• Translate client business needs into analytical approaches and practical solutions.
• Work across the full analytics and modelling lifecycle, from problem formulation and exploratory analysis through testing and handover.
• Lead and deliver solutions involving advanced analytics, data science, algorithm development, operational research, data engineering, cloud platforms, or dashboards.
• Collaborate with clients, technical and non-technical stakeholders, and cross-functional teams using agile practices.

Requirements

• Degree, Master’s, or PhD in data science, mathematics, operational research, physics, statistics, or a related field.
• Experience designing and developing analytical models and conducting analysis for decision-making.
• Experience communicating analytical approaches and findings to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience with Python, SQL, Excel, and data visualisation tools.
• Strong problem-solving ability and an inquisitive approach to complex challenges.
• Applicants must be British citizens or have been continuously resident in the UK for the past five years to meet potential security-clearance requirements.

Nice to have

• Stakeholder management, project management, communication, consulting, or advisory experience.
• Experience across the software or product development lifecycle for analytical solutions.
• Experience preparing client presentations and developing data or behavioural science propositions.

Hiring process

• Initial call with a technology recruiter.
• Two 60-minute competency or technical interviews, covering both formats.
• Final 60-minute meeting with a PA leader, including a mini case study and discussion of client-centricity.
