TL;DR
Sr. Data Solutions Consultant (Power BI/SQL): Designing and delivering reporting and analytics solutions that turn complex customer business and operational data into reliable insights with an accent on requirements gathering, data validation, and reporting architecture. Focus on leading discovery, validating transformations and data quality, supporting user acceptance testing, and guiding multiple customer workstreams from discovery through production support.

What you will do
- Lead discovery sessions with customers and stakeholders to define business objectives, reporting needs, data sources, and success measures.
- Translate business needs into functional requirements, acceptance criteria, and practical technical solutions.
- Guide the delivery of reporting and analytics solutions using Power BI, SSRS, OData, data marts, tabular models, dashboards, and custom reports.
- Analyze source and target data, write or review SQL queries, validate transformations, and investigate data-quality, reconciliation, refresh, and lineage issues.
- Plan and support user acceptance testing, coordinate test scenarios, manage defects, and support production readiness.
- Manage customer workstreams, communicate risks and dependencies, maintain documentation, mentor team members, and contribute to reusable delivery standards.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in business analysis, business intelligence, reporting, and/or data solutions.
- Hands-on experience with a business intelligence or reporting platform such as Power BI, SSRS, Tableau, or an equivalent.
- Working knowledge of SQL for data analysis, validation, reconciliation, troubleshooting, and investigation.
- Experience documenting and validating integrations, APIs, OData feeds, ETL/data pipelines, or system-to-system data flows.
- Strong understanding of reporting concepts, data models, metrics, dimensions, calculations, refreshes, and data lineage.
- Ability to facilitate workshops, manage competing priorities, and communicate complex technical topics to technical and non-technical audiences.
Nice to have
- Experience with Portfolios, AdaptiveWork, or another enterprise portfolio, resource, project, or work-management platform.
- Experience with custom reports, report tiles, data marts, semantic models, data-quality frameworks, reconciliation controls, or data governance.
- Experience with cloud-hosted SaaS platforms, scheduled jobs, monitoring and logging tools, DAX, Power Query, dataflows, Python, or PowerShell.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, information systems, computer science, engineering, analytics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
