Lead System Engineer (HVAC)

Location: La Crosse, Wisconsin, United States. Work onsite Monday through Thursday; choose the work location on Fridays. Domestic travel of 5–10% is required, typically between Pueblo, Colorado, and La Crosse, Wisconsin.

Annual base salary: $95,700–$173,004.99.

What you will do

• Lead the design and release of chiller and heat pump equipment and subsystems from concept generation through final design deliverables.
• Coordinate requirements development from market requirements through product requirements and product design documentation.
• Lead concept, technical, model, and drawing reviews for components, subsystems, and complete chiller and heat pump systems.
• Apply engineering specifications to select and qualify purchased and internally supplied components.
• Develop and maintain DFMEA and DVP&R activities to improve product quality and reliability.
• Partner with manufacturing, quality, product management, and project management to apply design-for-manufacturing principles, control product cost, and track requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical discipline.
• At least 7 years of experience designing or manufacturing industrial products.
• Experience leading engineering teams through coaching, mentoring, and design-process oversight.
• Knowledge of one or more manufacturing processes and experience with schedule development and resource planning.
• Experience using PLM and CAD systems, preferably Creo.
• Experience with building HVAC products or applications, plus data manipulation in Excel or Tableau.
