Forward Deployed Engineer (AI)

Location: Austin, Texas, United States. Onsite role with 10% travel. Relocation is not available.

What you will do

• Partner with scheduling, manufacturing, factory operations, and business stakeholders to translate planning challenges into scalable scheduling solutions.
• Act as the technical liaison between scheduling teams and engineering organizations while identifying opportunities to improve cycle time, tool utilization, throughput, delivery performance, and operational efficiency.
• Work with scheduling data, optimization engines, simulation environments, APIs, and business systems to prototype and deploy operational solutions.
• Design decision-support tools, workflows, dashboards, and AI-driven scheduling capabilities with planners, product owners, software engineers, data scientists, and operations leaders.
• Analyze manufacturing, supply chain, service, and operational data to identify bottlenecks, scheduling conflicts, capacity constraints, and optimization opportunities.
• Lead proof-of-concepts, pilot deployments, production rollouts, customer workshops, requirements sessions, and continuous solution improvements.

Requirements

• Deep expertise in manufacturing scheduling, planning processes, operations research, optimization techniques, and AI-enabled decision-support systems.
• Strong understanding of scheduling methodologies, constraint management, capacity planning, and factory operations.
• Experience developing analytical models, automation frameworks, and AI-enabled solutions using Python, SQL, optimization algorithms, simulation tools, and modern cloud platforms.
• Ability to solve ambiguous operational problems through business context, technical expertise, analytical rigor, and systems thinking.
• Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and communicate complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Must work from Austin, Texas, United States; relocation is not available.
