Energy Data Acquisition Specialist (Telemetry and Revenue Metering)

What you will do

• Configure, test, maintain, and implement telemetry and revenue metering equipment and related processes.
• Develop and maintain standards for PLC, RTU, DCS, EMS, SCADA, Remote Intelligent Gateways, and approved ISO meters.
• Support Full Network Model builds, New Resource Implementation deliverables, resource certification, and commercial operation timelines.
• Troubleshoot metering and telemetry designs with generators, developers, utilities, and engineering companies.
• Coordinate resource testing, analyze test data, and maintain the resource testing database.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve real-time telemetry issues for the ISO control center.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education, training, or experience in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Technology, or a related field.
• At least two years of related experience, including equivalent education and training.
• Experience with utility metering, revenue-grade meters, high-voltage substations, generating plants, and metering test equipment.
• Knowledge of SCADA, telemetry technology, telecommunications hardware and circuitry, electrical drawings, and AC/DC electrical theory.
• Ability to install and test meters, current transformers, voltage transformers, and related metering equipment.
• Strong analytical, documentation, communication, conflict-resolution, and independent problem-solving skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
