What you will do

• Build production-quality software from defined technical approaches and evolving business requirements.
• Work directly with business stakeholders to understand workflows, refine requirements, and propose effective solution designs.
• Develop complete applications integrating language models, prompt and retrieval design, structured outputs, tools, APIs, data handling, error handling, and user-facing functionality.
• Create evaluation sets from real data, measure results, document findings, and investigate and fix capability failures.
• Support client demonstrations, proofs of concept, internal product development, and enablement initiatives.
• Instrument and document work, including traceability, intended behavior, limitations, validation methods, and failure handling.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent demonstrated ability.
• At least 1 year of professional software development experience.
• Hands-on experience building applications with large language models, including prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation, structured extraction, or tool use.
• Experience integrating AI capabilities with APIs, data handling, and user-facing functionality.
• Familiarity with Python, TypeScript, or SQL, including API integration and work with imperfect data.
• U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain required federal background investigations, suitability determinations, or security clearances.

Nice to have

• Client-facing experience in consulting, solutions engineering, professional services, or implementation.
• Experience with Appian, OutSystems, Mendix, Microsoft Power Platform, ServiceNow, or Salesforce.
• Public-sector or regulated-industry delivery experience.
• Experience with AWS Bedrock, Azure OpenAI, LLM evaluation, or observability tooling.
• Personal or open-source projects involving language models, agents, retrieval, or evaluation.
