SEO & AEO Content Specialist (AI)

hirify.global is a sports media company providing live event coverage, news, highlights, statistics, rankings, and team and player profiles across multiple sports verticals.

What you will do

• Create and optimize timely, engaging, search-focused content about teams, athletes, events, and sports streamed on hirify.global.
• Develop and execute SEO and AEO strategies across hirify.global' sports verticals.
• Research search intent, trends, keywords, competitive activity, and audience behavior to identify content opportunities.
• Improve headlines, page titles, metadata, internal linking, article structure, and other on-page SEO elements.
• Build evergreen content strategies and AEO workflows that increase topical authority and visibility in search and answer engines.
• Monitor rankings, traffic, click-through rates, AI search citations, and other performance metrics, then provide recommendations to editorial teams.

Requirements

• At least four years of experience in digital publishing and content creation.
• Experience in digital journalism, sports media, audience development, SEO, or content strategy.
• Strong understanding of SEO fundamentals, organic search, search intent, analytics, and keyword research.
• Strong writing, headline-writing, editing, and copy-editing skills.
• Ability to work quickly during live sports and breaking-news situations.
• Ability to work on-site in Austin, Texas.

Nice to have

• Experience with Google Search Console, Google Trends, SEMrush, or similar SEO platforms.
• Experience at a sports publisher, digital newsroom, or live sports organization.
• Familiarity with structured data, schema markup, technical SEO, Google Discover, and AI-powered search platforms.
• Experience covering live sporting events or producing real-time digital content.
• Knowledge of multiple sports.
