GCP Cloud / DevOps Engineer

Location: Wilton, Connecticut, USA; primarily office-based. The role requires legal authorization to access controlled technology under United States export regulations.

What you will do

• Design, implement and operate GCP infrastructure and platform services, including networking, IAM, compute, storage, logging and monitoring.
• Develop reusable Terraform Infrastructure as Code modules, environment configurations, policy controls, testing and automated deployment workflows.
• Build GitOps-based cloud and Kubernetes delivery workflows using Git and Argo CD.
• Create and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, Atlassian Bamboo or Jenkins, including automated quality, compliance and security checks.
• Implement cloud security monitoring, threat detection, centralized logging, alerting, vulnerability management and incident response.
• Partner with software, platform, security and infrastructure teams to migrate workloads to GCP and improve build, test and deployment platforms.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
• Hands-on experience designing, deploying and operating production workloads on GCP, with strong Terraform and Infrastructure as Code expertise.
• Experience with GitOps, Argo CD, Kubernetes or GKE, containers, CI/CD pipelines and Git-based source control practices.
• Strong understanding of cloud security, including IAM, least privilege, service accounts, network security, secrets management and policy controls.
• Experience with cloud observability, reliability engineering, operational response, release engineering and the software development lifecycle.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and legal authorization to access controlled US technology are required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Jira, Confluence, test automation frameworks, developer productivity tooling and Google Kubernetes Engine.
• Degree specialization in Computer Science, Engineering or Physics.
