Team Leader Software Development Realtime (Real-Time Systems)

Location: Mainz, Germany; flexible arrangement balancing remote and on-site work

What you will do

• Lead the development of real-time software and hardware-related solutions in PLC and embedded environments.
• Support hardware component selection, design and implement bus systems, and translate machine safety requirements into technical solutions.
• Provide functional and disciplinary leadership, recruit and onboard employees, and develop team capabilities.
• Plan staffing, resource allocation, project support, and proposal and quotation activities.
• Establish software processes, architecture standards, coding guidelines, and practices for real-time systems.
• Coordinate worldwide software commissioning and deployment while serving as the interface between Software Engineering and Hardware Engineering.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable field.
• Several years of experience developing hardware-related software solutions.
• Several years of functional and disciplinary leadership experience with development teams.
• Strong communication, collaboration, analytical, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Experience in team management, employee motivation, talent development, decision-making, and delegation.
• Strategic, business-oriented, and results-focused mindset with knowledge of relevant products, technologies, and trends.
