Head of Engineering (Commerce Finance Tech)

What you will do

• Lead the Commerce Finance Tech Circle Cluster and manage two engineering teams.
• Oversee strategic initiatives across the system landscape in collaboration with application and core teams.
• Build scalable, performant technical solutions and ensure reliable, state-of-the-art products.
• Define architectural decisions and challenge business requirements to balance technical complexity with business value.
• Hire, coach, mentor, and provide leadership to high-performing engineering teams.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, Directors, VPs, and C-Suite leaders while preparing decisions for Managing Directors.

Requirements

• Experience supporting the development of highly scalable software products in an agile environment.
• Deep understanding of software architecture, cloud infrastructure, scalable systems, and data modeling.
• Knowledge of business and technology processes with an analytical, data-driven, and efficiency-focused approach.
• Comfort working with senior technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Hands-on, detail-oriented, and proactive approach with a strong communication and execution mindset.
• Very good written and spoken English skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Python, Google BigQuery, AWS, MySQL, or PHP.
