Associate Application Programmer / Java Developer

Location: Remote within the United States; US citizenship required. Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance is required. Travel: 0–20%.

Salary: $75,000–$100,000 per year, depending on experience.

What you will do

• Participate in requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance of enterprise applications.
• Develop and maintain applications using Java, Spring Boot, RESTful services, MVC, and JDBC.
• Analyze, debug, test, and improve software quality through unit testing and SonarQube remediation.
• Support CI/CD pipelines, DevOps processes, cloud deployments, and infrastructure automation.
• Work with Oracle, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, messaging systems, and SQL optimization.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and periodically troubleshoot end-user issues through Help Desk support.

Requirements

• US citizenship and eligibility to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field and at least one year of application or Java development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Java 8+, Spring Boot, RESTful web services, React, Angular, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and JSON.
• Experience with Node.js, Struts 2, Maven, jQuery, relational and NoSQL databases, and SQL optimization.
• Knowledge of AWS, Jenkins/CloudBees, Git, Terraform, Ansible, monitoring tools, Docker/Kubernetes, microservices, and cross-platform interoperability.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.

• Current DHS Public Trust Suitability.
• Experience with MQ or Kafka, AppDynamics, and DataDog.
