Field Application Specialist (Flow Cytometry)

Location: Must be located in Puerto Rico, preferably in San Juan. The role is fully remote from home but requires travel 50–75% of the time, mostly in Puerto Rico and other Caribbean countries.

What you will do

• Provide technical and scientific support for flow cytometry hardware and consumables in pre-sales and post-sales activities.
• Deliver instrument and software demonstrations, workflow studies, protocol development, and support at scientific meetings.
• Train customers in laboratory settings and implement routine flow cytometry applications.
• Assess customer needs and help optimize products, applications, and workflows.
• Support sales goals and manage relationships with customers, sales colleagues, and scientific stakeholders.

Requirements

• Significant hands-on experience with flow cytometry.
• University degree in biomedicine, biological sciences, pharmacy, biotechnology, or a related field.
• Fluent Spanish and English, both spoken and written.
• Must be located in Puerto Rico, preferably in San Juan.
• Ability to travel 50–75% of the time and hold a valid driving license.

Nice to have

• Background in hematology and clinical flow cytometry.
• Knowledge of immunology, extracellular vesicles, or spectral cytometry.
• Experience with high-dimensional flow analysis software such as tSNE, CITRUS, FlowSOM, or Partek.
• Academic experience and strong stakeholder relationship-management skills.
