Security/Front Desk Coordinator

Location: Onsite at the headquarters in Redondo Beach, California; the position is associated with the Cypress, California facility.

Hourly compensation: $22.00–$25.00 USD, based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.

What you will do

• Serve as the professional frontline presence for employees, visitors, vendors, contractors, executives, and emergency personnel.
• Monitor security cameras, entrances, exits, access points, visitor activity, and facility conditions.
• Manage visitor check-in, guest authorization, visitor logs, badges, employee access, and restricted-area access.
• Perform hourly interior and exterior rounds, identify hazards or unusual conditions, and document incidents and observations.
• Support emergency response, fire and life safety procedures, evacuations, drills, events, and facility activities.
• Assist with opening and closing procedures, security checks, access-control systems, and communication with Facilities, Operations, HR, and management.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in security, front desk, access control, facilities, hospitality, customer service, or a similar role preferred.
• Strong customer service, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Professional, observant, dependable, detail-oriented, and calm under pressure.
• Comfort with security cameras, computer-based access-control systems, visitor-management systems, badge systems, email, and electronic records.
• Ability to follow security, emergency, and safety procedures; work independently; and make sound decisions within established procedures.
• Must satisfy U.S. ITAR eligibility requirements: U.S. citizenship or nationality, lawful permanent residence, refugee or asylee status, or eligibility to obtain required U.S. Department of State authorizations.

Nice to have

• Experience with CCTV monitoring, access-control and visitor-management systems, badge administration, fire and life safety, emergency response, incident reporting, corporate or industrial security, event security, contractors, and vendors.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
