Senior Associate Scientist, ADC In Vivo Pharmacology

Location: San Diego, California, United States; on-premise. Relocation support may be available based on business needs and eligibility. Permanent U.S. work authorization is required; visa sponsorship is not available.

Annual base salary: $68,600–$114,300, plus eligibility for a 7.5% performance bonus.

What you will do

• Execute in vivo oncology studies supporting ADC, large-molecule, and small-molecule discovery programs.
• Perform rodent procedures including tumor measurements, body-weight monitoring, clinical observations, dosing, and sample collection.
• Support efficacy, tolerability, pharmacodynamic biomarker, dosing-schedule, and combination studies.
• Prepare study materials, verify dosing and sampling schedules, and follow approved protocols and SOPs.
• Maintain accurate study records and communicate observations, technical issues, animal-welfare concerns, and timeline risks.
• Collaborate with vivarium operations, pathology, bioanalytical, pharmacodynamic, pharmacokinetic, and project teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in biology, pharmacology, animal science, cancer biology, or a related discipline, or equivalent laboratory experience.
• Hands-on rodent handling and in vivo research experience.
• Working proficiency in tumor measurement, animal monitoring, IV, PO, subcutaneous and intraperitoneal dosing support, sample collection, and study documentation.
• Understanding of oncology pharmacology, tumor growth, treatment response, tolerability monitoring, and pharmacodynamic endpoints.
• Strong organization, communication, collaboration, and attention to detail.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States by any employer and hold permanent U.S. work authorization.

Nice to have

• Experience with ADC, targeted therapy, immuno-oncology, or oncology combination studies.
• Knowledge of ADC target antigen expression, payload activity, linker stability, exposure-response relationships, and tolerability.
• Experience with necropsy, tissue or blood collection, biomarker processing, flow cytometry, cell-line assays, or molecular and biochemical procedures.
• Familiarity with Studylog or similar electronic in vivo study management systems.
• AALAS certification or equivalent animal care and use training.
