Systems Integration Engineer

Location: Rivier University, Nashua, New Hampshire, United States; hybrid schedule with 3 days onsite per week

What you will do

• Build and maintain integrations between cloud and on-premises systems using REST APIs and scripting.
• Automate account lifecycle and identity processes across Active Directory, Entra ID, and Microsoft 365.
• Develop and support scheduled PowerShell automations running on-premises and in Azure.
• Create workflows and internal tools that replace manual, repetitive processes.
• Work with university staff to understand processes, write queries and reports, document solutions, monitor automations, and resolve failures.
• Identify responsible applications of AI tools and services, support integration projects, and participate in occasional after-hours maintenance work, typically less than four hours per month.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in systems administration, integration, IT engineering, or a similar technical role.
• Strong PowerShell scripting skills, including scripts that call web APIs.
• Practical experience with REST API authentication, JSON, error handling, Microsoft 365, and Entra ID.
• Working knowledge of Active Directory, single sign-on concepts, SQL queries, Windows Server, scheduled tasks, service accounts, permissions, and logs.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Power Automate or similar workflow automation tools.
• Ability to communicate with non-technical staff, handle confidential student and employee information, and assess privacy considerations when using AI tools.
