Data Platform Engineer (Snowflake/AWS)

Location: Plano North, United States. Candidates must already have the right to work in the United States and must not require immigration-related employment sponsorship now or in the future.

What you will do

• Develop and support data platform components, services, integrations, and utilities using Python, Snowflake, and AWS.
• Design and implement APIs, data workflows, and microservices-based solutions for data access and service integration.
• Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines and support containerized deployments with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Partner with architects, software engineers, data engineers, and business partners to deliver scalable, secure, resilient, and maintainable platform solutions.
• Troubleshoot application, data, integration, and infrastructure issues, including production monitoring and incident resolution.
• Participate in code reviews, technical design discussions, documentation, and continuous reliability and performance improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in software engineering, data engineering, or platform engineering.
• Strong Python programming experience and hands-on experience with Snowflake.
• Working knowledge of AWS services for data and application platforms.
• Experience with API development, service integration, microservices, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Must have United States work authorization without current or future Toyota immigration sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience with data platform engineering, data services, or cloud-based data ecosystems.
• Familiarity with SQL, cloud data architecture, workflow automation, deployment tooling, and DevOps practices.
• Experience with observability, logging, monitoring, alerting, security, performance tuning, and operational reliability.
• Familiarity with agile development and cross-functional delivery.
