AWS Data Engineer (Generative AI)

Location: Onsite in Knoxville, Tennessee; Columbia, South Carolina; Lafayette, Louisiana; or Birmingham, Alabama

Salary: $110,100–$139,300 per year

What you will do

• Develop, enhance, and maintain Enterprise Risk Analytics applications in a financial services environment.
• Build and support cloud-based data solutions using AWS, with emphasis on reliable processing, analytics, automation, and performance.
• Develop and enhance data pipelines, ETL processes, and data transformation workflows with technical and business teams.
• Maintain production-ready analytics workloads and troubleshoot enterprise data applications.
• Apply Generative AI and automation to improve data engineering processes and operational efficiency.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on AWS experience in data engineering environments.
• Experience with Amazon Redshift, AWS Glue, ETL jobs, data transformation workflows, and analytics pipelines.
• Strong Python programming and advanced SQL skills, including performance optimization.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automation, modern software delivery, and production support.
• Familiarity with Generative AI technologies and their use in data engineering or automation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related technical field.

Nice to have

• Experience with financial services, risk analytics, or similarly regulated data environments.
