CRE Credit Analyst I (Commercial Real Estate)

Location: Huntington Tower, Detroit, United States; remote work may be available. Applicants must be currently authorized to work full-time in the United States. The role requires three consecutive weeks of Credit College training in Columbus, Ohio and may include periodic travel throughout Huntington's footprint.

What you will do

• Gather and analyze financial and business information to assess borrowers' creditworthiness.
• Prepare written evaluations of borrowers' financial condition and future outlook.
• Identify strengths and risks related to relationship sponsors and guarantors.
• Obtain required documents and follow up on outstanding items.
• Monitor financial reporting requirements and analyze financial and loan information.
• Develop expertise for a future career as a portfolio manager or relationship manager, including sales responsibilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.
• At least four years of related experience in finance or banking.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, professionalism, assertiveness, and confidence.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, planning, follow-up, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively on multiple tasks without compromising quality.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and internet resources.

Nice to have

• Internship or work experience in finance, banking, or commercial real estate.
