Design Intern (Packaging Engineering)

Location: Marshfield, Wisconsin, United States; onsite role on the Marshfield Design Team

Salary: $20.00 per hour

What you will do

• Evaluate customer packaging needs and expectations with customers and internal team members.
• Design corrugated packaging solutions that are cost-effective and aesthetically appealing.
• Build prototypes and produce samples for customer review.
• Prepare CAD specifications for production and manufacturing.
• Support customer requests and provide guidance on improving department and manufacturing efficiency.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Packaging Engineering program at the University of Wisconsin–Stout.
• Knowledge of corrugated structural design principles.
• Proficiency with CAD software, Microsoft Office, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Strong verbal and visual communication, creative problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to learn quickly, manage multiple assignments, and maintain close attention to detail.
• Self-motivation and a strong work ethic.
