Specialist, Launch Cost Analysis (Automotive)

Location: Blythewood, South Carolina, United States; 4–5 days per week in the office with regular in-person meetings and occasional travel required

Salary: $95,000–$120,000 annual base salary, plus eligibility for an annual performance bonus

What you will do

• Analyze factory launch costs across equipment, labor, materials, and operational expenses.
• Develop financial forecasts and support budget establishment and monitoring with department heads.
• Identify cost optimization and efficiency opportunities throughout the launch process.
• Learn and assess manufacturing processes to validate cost estimates and identify risks.
• Collaborate with Production, Procurement, Finance, and other departments to gather cost data.
• Prepare cost documentation, risk assessments, stakeholder reports, Excel dashboards, reporting automation, and AI-supported analytics.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• 4+ years of experience in cost estimation, financial analysis, or related roles in automotive or comparable industries.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, especially automotive manufacturing.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Financial acumen and understanding of budgeting processes.
• Detail-oriented approach to forecasting and documentation, with flexibility in a fast-paced environment.
