Support Engineer I (Cybersecurity)

Location: Raleigh, NC, United States; remote work with in-office meetings no more than monthly and annual in-office training

Salary: $60,000–$65,000 per year plus bonus and benefits

What you will do

• Support customers in resolving technical issues with hirify.global products.
• Provide hardware and firmware deployment, replacement, and support for appliances.
• Troubleshoot network infrastructure, virtualization, configurations, and third-party integrations.
• Analyze system data and investigate complex architectural incidents.
• Manage initial ticket handling, documentation, communication, escalation, and resolution.
• Collaborate with experienced engineers and cross-functional stakeholders while contributing to knowledge resources.

Requirements

• Two years of experience in B2B technical support; this is not an entry-level position.
• Strong knowledge of the OSI model, routing, switching, network topologies, and data traversal across internal and external networks.
• Experience with DHCP, TCP, DNS resolution, TLS, HTTP, and SSO.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex architectural incidents and translate technical concepts into practical troubleshooting guidance.
• Excellent customer service, organization, documentation, collaboration, and communication skills.
• Availability for an 8am–5pm EST schedule and regular in-office meetings in Raleigh.

Nice to have

• Experience with Unix/Linux operating systems.
• Understanding of cybersecurity concepts, terminology, and tools.
• Familiarity with JavaScript.
• Networking or cybersecurity certifications such as CompTIA Network+ or Security+.
